newARTSpace
Mission
We are an artist-driven non-commercial exhibition, event and studio space enlivening an old storefront in downtown De Pere, Wisconsin. newARTSpace is dedicated toward providing bold, contemporary, dynamic and engaging creative cultural discourse by introducing and connecting artists in, and to, our local, regional and national communities while encouraging opportunities for innovative programming and events.
NewARTSpace is a big idea. It is rooted in our love of ART, and our own creative needs. Together we have amassed over 75-years of experience in making, teaching, and exhibiting art. We think we should put that to the good of our community. We hope you think so too.
To that end, newARTSpace serves as our collective primary studio space. Our archives are housed here, as will our hot messes – the stuff of which we are currently working on. We also have our darkroom, do our digital editing and printing, along with finishing work from framing to crating! But in finding the space we needed as working artists, we found so much more. We found Space to host exhibitions, for events and pop-ups, and, someday, we hope for space for other artists to have studio space here, too.
